To start the tractor, ensure it is on a level surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the "fast" position, turn the ignition key to the "start" position, and release once the engine starts.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, verify the PTO is disengaged, and the parking brake is engaged. Also, inspect the spark plug for wear.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, stop the engine, and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely, replace the drain plug, and fill with new oil as per the specifications in the manual.
Unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 is recommended for optimal performance of the tractor.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the deck height adjustment lever, move it to the desired position, and ensure it locks in place. Refer to the manual for specific height settings.
Check the PTO switch, inspect the belt for wear or damage, ensure the battery is charged, and verify that the mower blades are not obstructed.
Routine maintenance, including checking the oil, air filter, and tire pressure, should be performed every 25 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. A more comprehensive check should be done every 100 hours.
To replace the air filter, locate the air filter housing, remove the cover, take out the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new filter is seated properly before replacing the cover.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, never allow passengers, keep hands and feet away from moving parts, and be cautious when operating on slopes or uneven terrain.
To winterize, clean the unit thoroughly, change the oil, drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
