Simplicity 2691240-00 Regent S Parts Manual

To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the transmission is in neutral, and the PTO is off. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release the key.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level before each use, changing the oil every 50 hours, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blades every 25 hours or as needed.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel level is adequate, verify the spark plug is clean and functional, and make sure the safety switches are engaged properly.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located on the right side of the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or debris caught in the deck. Check and balance the blades, tighten any loose bolts, and clear debris from the deck.
Ensure regular maintenance is performed, keep the blades sharp, clean the air filter periodically, and use fresh fuel. Store the tractor in a dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug, allow the old oil to drain completely, replace the plug, and refill with new oil as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% as they can damage the engine.
To replace the blades, ensure the tractor is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Use a block to secure the mower deck, then remove the blade bolts with a wrench. Replace with new blades and tighten the bolts securely.
Check if the air filter is clogged, inspect the fuel filter for blockages, and ensure the spark plug is in good condition. Ensure the fuel tank is not empty and the fuel is fresh.
