To start the tractor, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Insert the key and turn it to the start position until the engine fires up, then release the key.
Check if there's fuel in the tank, the battery is charged, and the spark plug is clean. Ensure all safety switches are engaged, and inspect the fuel line for blockages.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 motor oil for optimal performance.
Regularly clean the cutting deck to prevent grass buildup. Check and sharpen the blades as needed, and ensure that the deck is properly leveled to achieve an even cut.
Ensure the tire pressures are equal, the cutting deck is level, and the blades are sharp. Check for bent or damaged blades and replace if necessary.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose components, or debris in the pulleys. Inspect and clean the tractor, and tighten any loose parts. Replace damaged blades if necessary.
Install tire chains and consider using wheel weights for extra traction. Additionally, ensure the tires are properly inflated and in good condition.
Check the PTO switch and wiring for damage or disconnection. Ensure the battery is fully charged, and inspect the PTO clutch for wear or damage. Replace faulty components as needed.
Use the lever or knob located near the driver's seat to adjust the cutting height. Select the desired height and ensure the lever is securely in place before mowing.
