To change the oil, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Place a drain pan under the oil drain valve, remove the oil fill cap, and open the drain valve. Once drained, close the valve and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity as stated in the manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% to prevent engine damage.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline, and inspect the spark plug for wear. If problems persist, consult the service manual or contact a professional technician.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced if dirty. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of the engine.
Refer to the owner’s manual for the recommended tire pressure. Generally, the front tires should be inflated to 14 PSI and the rear tires to 10 PSI.
Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface. Use the deck lift lever to raise the deck to the highest position. Adjust the deck wheels to the appropriate height for the desired cutting height.
Check for unbalanced blades or debris lodged in the cutting deck. Ensure all bolts and screws are tightened properly. If the issue persists, inspect the belt and pulleys for wear or damage.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and use a spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug. Check the gap on the new spark plug and install it, tightening securely. Reattach the spark plug wire.
Regularly check the transmission fluid level and condition. Refer to the manual for specific intervals and procedures for changing the transmission fluid, if applicable.
