To adjust the cutting height, locate the height-of-cut lever on the right side of the tractor. Move the lever to your desired cutting height position, which is indicated by the numbers on the lever.
It is recommended to use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and 10W-30 oil for temperatures below 40°F (4°C). Always check the owner's manual for the most suitable oil specification.
First, ensure the battery is fully charged and the connections are clean and tight. Check the fuel level and confirm the fuel valve is open. Also, make sure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO is turned off.
At the start of each season, change the engine oil, replace the air filter, sharpen the blades, check tire pressure, and inspect belts and pulleys for wear.
First, disengage the PTO and turn off the engine. Lower the mower deck to its lowest position and remove the belt covers. Slide the belt off the pulleys and replace it with a new one, ensuring proper alignment.
The recommended tire pressure for the Broadmoor Tractor is typically 10 psi for the front tires and 12 psi for the rear tires. Always refer to the tire sidewall or owner's manual for exact specifications.
To improve performance on uneven terrain, ensure your tires are properly inflated and consider using weights or wheel weights for better traction. Adjust the mower deck to an appropriate height to avoid scalping.
Check the PTO switch and wiring for any faults. Ensure the battery is fully charged and inspect the drive belts for wear. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician.
Blades should be sharpened at least once per mowing season or after 25 hours of use. However, if you frequently mow over rough terrain, you may need to sharpen them more often.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil and filter, add fuel stabilizer, check antifreeze levels, and store the battery in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
