Regular maintenance for the Broadmoor Tractor includes checking the oil and air filter every 25 hours, changing the oil and filter every 50 hours, inspecting the blades and belts every 100 hours, and a comprehensive service check annually.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and verify the spark plug is clean. Also, make sure the PTO is disengaged and the brake is applied.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 40°F (4°C). Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations based on your operating conditions.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located to the right of the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired position, ranging from 1.5 inches to 4 inches.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the belt for wear or damage and ensure it is properly tensioned. Also, check the blade engagement cable for proper connection and adjustment.
To replace the air filter, first remove the cover from the air filter housing. Take out the old filter and insert a new one, ensuring it is seated properly. Replace the cover and secure it tightly.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 15 psi, and for the rear tires, it is 10 psi. Always refer to the tire sidewall or the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications.
To improve fuel efficiency, keep the engine and blades well-maintained, use the recommended type of oil, avoid overloading, and ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
To winterize the tractor, clean the mower deck, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location. Clean it thoroughly, check and change the oil if necessary, disconnect the battery, and cover it to protect against dust and debris.
