Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, inspecting the air filter, cleaning the deck, and lubricating moving parts. Always refer to the user manual for specific maintenance intervals and procedures.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the battery is charged. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Additionally, verify that the safety switches are engaged properly.
Ensure the blades are sharp and not damaged. Adjust the deck height according to the grass length and mow at the recommended speed. Regular cleaning of the deck also helps improve performance.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or worn-out belts. Inspect these components and replace or tighten them as needed.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and let the old oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, add new oil, and check the oil level with the dipstick.
The recommended tire pressure is typically between 10-14 psi for the front tires and 6-12 psi for the rear tires. Always check the owner's manual for specific pressure recommendations.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer. Store the tractor in a dry place and disconnect the battery. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and debris.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is in the "engage" position. Inspect the belts and pulleys for wear or damage and replace them if necessary. The safety switches should also be checked.
Ensure that the tire pressure is even on all sides and that the deck is level. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Adjust the deck wheels and mower deck height as necessary.
