To start the Simplicity 2690005 Broadmoor Tractor, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is disengaged, and the throttle is set to 'fast'. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position until the engine fires, then release.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank has fuel, verify that the spark plug is clean, and confirm the PTO is disengaged.
Change the oil initially after the first 5 hours of use, and subsequently every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure for the Simplicity 2690005 Broadmoor Tractor is 10 psi for the front tires and 12 psi for the rear tires.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located on the right side of the operator's seat. Move it to the desired notch corresponding to the cutting height.
If the blades don't engage, inspect the PTO switch, check the drive belt for wear or damage, and ensure the battery charge is sufficient.
To maintain the battery, keep it clean and free from corrosion. Check the electrolyte levels regularly and charge the battery during long periods of inactivity.
For winterizing, clean the tractor, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry place.
To troubleshoot uneven cutting, check the tire pressure, ensure the cutting deck is level, and inspect the blades for sharpness and balance.
Regular maintenance includes checking engine oil levels, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting belts and hoses, and lubricating moving parts.
