To change the oil, first warm up the engine to help the oil drain smoothly. Turn off the engine and remove the key. Place an oil pan under the engine, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the old oil to fully drain. Replace the drain plug, then refill with fresh oil as recommended in the manual.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify that there is sufficient fuel in the tank and the fuel shutoff valve is open. Check the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
To level the mower deck, park the tractor on a flat surface. Measure the height from the ground to the blade tip on both sides. Adjust the deck hanger links until the measurements are equal on both sides.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent damage to the engine.
Check for debris or damage on the blades and spindle. Ensure that the blades are properly balanced and securely tightened. Inspect the belt for wear and replace if necessary.
Before storing, clean the tractor thoroughly and remove any grass or debris. Change the oil and filter, and add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank. Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure and disconnect the battery. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation and replace it if it appears dirty or damaged. Under dusty conditions, inspect and clean or replace more frequently.
Check the transmission fluid level and top up if necessary. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, replacing it if needed. If the problem persists, consult the service manual or a professional technician.
First, park the tractor on a level surface and remove the ignition key. Use the appropriate wrench to remove the blade bolts, then replace the old blades with new ones, ensuring they are installed with the cutting edge facing the correct direction. Tighten the bolts securely.
Refer to the specifications in your owner's manual, but generally, the recommended tire pressure for the front tires is around 14 psi and for the rear tires is around 10 psi.
