To perform a basic maintenance check, ensure the engine oil and filter are changed every 50 hours of operation. Check and clean the air filter regularly, inspect the spark plugs, and lubricate all moving parts as per the manual.
If your tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify that the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
Uneven cutting can be caused by a dull blade, so check and sharpen the blades if needed. Also, ensure that the tire pressure is equal on all sides and the mower deck is level.
Regularly check the transmission fluid level and replace it every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Inspect belts for wear and tension, and replace them if necessary.
To store your tractor, clean it thoroughly to remove dirt and debris. Add a fuel stabilizer to the tank, and run the engine for a few minutes. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust.
Excessive vibration can result from unbalanced blades or debris caught in the mower deck. Check and clean the deck, and inspect the blades for damage or balance issues. Tighten any loose bolts on the tractor.
If the steering is loose, check the steering linkage and tie rods for wear or damage. Tighten any loose connections and replace worn parts. Also, ensure the front tires are properly inflated.
To clean the mower deck, first ensure the tractor is turned off and cool. Use a garden hose to spray off grass clippings and dirt. For stubborn debris, use a plastic scraper or brush carefully to avoid damaging the surface.
Drain the old oil by removing the oil drain plug and let it flow into a container. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with recommended oil type and quantity. Replace the oil filter as well during this process.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the tractor and move it to the desired position. Ensure the deck is level by checking both sides and adjusting the deck hangers if necessary.
