To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, then turn off the tractor. Place an oil pan under the engine and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to completely drain out. Replace the drain plug and add new oil as specified in the owner's manual.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content as it can cause engine damage.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. Verify that there is sufficient fuel in the tank and the fuel valve is open. Check the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the PTO is disengaged and the parking brake is on.
Before storing, clean the tractor thoroughly, check and change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, and run the engine for a few minutes. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
To adjust the mowing deck, park the tractor on a level surface. Ensure the tires are properly inflated. Adjust the deck level using the height adjustment lever, then fine-tune the deck level by adjusting the lift linkage nuts on both sides of the tractor until the deck is level.
First, check that the deck is level. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and sharpen or replace them if necessary. Ensure the tire pressure is even on all sides and that the deck height is set correctly.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced every 100 hours or once a year, whichever comes first. Replace it more frequently if operating in dusty conditions.
Spark plugs should be checked every 100 hours of operation and replaced every 200 hours or if they appear worn, fouled, or damaged.
To improve traction on slopes, make sure the tires are properly inflated. Consider using tire chains or weights to increase traction. Always mow up and down slopes rather than across them for better control and safety.
If the tractor overheats, stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and refill if necessary. Inspect the radiator and cooling fins for debris and clean them. Ensure the fan is operational and check for leaks in the cooling system.
