To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the right side of the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height, which ranges from 1 to 4 inches. Ensure the tractor is on a level surface before making adjustments.
If the engine won't start, check that the battery is fully charged, the fuel tank has gasoline, and the spark plug is clean and connected. Also, ensure the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 motor oil for optimum performance.
Regularly clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Check and tighten the blade bolts and ensure the blades are sharp. Lubricate the spindles and pivot points every 25 hours of use.
Check the tire pressure to ensure all tires are equally inflated. Verify that the mower deck is level by measuring the blade height on each side. Adjust the deck lift links if necessary.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure that the transmission bypass lever is in the correct position. Consult the manual for specific troubleshooting steps.
Regularly maintain the engine by changing the oil and air filter as recommended. Ensure the tires are properly inflated and the mower blades are sharp. Avoid running the engine at full throttle unless necessary.
First, disconnect the battery and remove the mower deck. Loosen the belt tensioner and slide off the old belt. Install the new belt, ensuring it is correctly seated in the pulleys, and re-tension the belt. Reattach the mower deck and reconnect the battery.
To winterize, clean the tractor thoroughly and change the oil. Add a fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 14 PSI and for the rear tires is 10 PSI. Regularly check and maintain the tire pressure for optimal performance and even cutting.
