Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends above E10 as they can damage the engine components.
Check the battery for charge and terminal connections. Ensure the fuel tank is not empty and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage. If these are fine, consider checking the ignition switch and safety interlocks.
The recommended tire pressure is typically 10-14 psi for the front tires and 8-12 psi for the rear tires. Refer to the owner’s manual for the exact specifications.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the deck to remove grass clippings, checking and sharpening the blades, and lubricating the spindles. It's also important to inspect the belt for wear and tension.
Check the transmission fluid level and look for any leaks. Ensure the drive belt is properly tensioned and not worn. If the problem persists, the transmission may require professional servicing.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced every 100 hours, or more frequently if operating in dusty conditions.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring both sides are set evenly for an even cut.
Turn off the engine and let it cool down. Check the cooling fins for debris and clean them if necessary. Ensure the engine oil level is correct. If overheating continues, inspect the cooling fan and engine components for damage.
