To change the oil, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Locate the oil drain plug beneath the tractor, place an oil pan underneath, and remove the plug. Once the oil has drained completely, replace the plug and refill the engine with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the battery is charged, and verify the fuel level. Additionally, inspect the spark plug and replace it if necessary.
Regularly check oil levels, clean or replace the air filter every 25 hours of use, and inspect the blades and belts for wear. Perform a full tune-up annually or every 100 hours of operation.
To adjust the mower deck, park the tractor on a level surface. Raise or lower the deck using the height adjustment lever to the desired cutting height. Ensure the deck is level from side to side by adjusting the links on either side of the deck.
Check the PTO switch to ensure it is engaged. Inspect the drive belt for damage or disconnection and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the battery is fully charged as insufficient power can prevent blade engagement.
To replace the air filter, locate the air filter housing on the engine. Open the cover, remove the old filter, and clean out any debris. Insert a new air filter, ensuring it is seated properly, and close the cover securely.
The Broadmoor Tractor is not recommended for use on slopes greater than 15 degrees. For safety, mow up and down slopes rather than across, and avoid sudden turns or maneuvers.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery for storage in a cool, dry place. Add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, and store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location to protect it from the elements.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades or debris lodged in the deck. Check for and remove any debris, and inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Sharpen or replace blades as needed.
