To change the oil, ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the drain plug and let the old oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with the recommended oil type and quantity as specified in the owner's manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using E85 or fuels with high ethanol content as they can damage the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the fuel valve is open, and inspect the spark plug for fouling. Also, make sure the battery is charged and the safety switches are engaged.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring that the mower deck is level.
Regularly check the oil level, air filter, and tire pressure. Change the oil and replace filters every 50 hours of operation. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
Check for bent or dull blades and ensure the tire pressure is even. Also, verify that the mower deck is level. Adjust if necessary.
Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion and ensure they are tightly connected. Check the alternator and charging system. Replace the battery if it is old or fails a load test.
First, disconnect the spark plug. Remove the mower deck and locate the drive belt. Release the tensioner and remove the old belt. Install the new belt following the belt routing diagram and reassemble the tractor.
Reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and black smoke from the exhaust are common signs. Inspect the air filter and replace it if it appears dirty or clogged.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
