To start the Simplicity 1692691 Broadmoor Tractor, ensure the PTO switch is off, set the parking brake, move the throttle to the 'fast' position, and turn the ignition key to 'start'. Release the key when the engine starts.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections and charge the battery if necessary. Ensure the fuel tank has gas, and check the spark plug for wear or damage. Also, make sure the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 50 hours of use or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located next to the seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ranging from 1.5 inches to 4 inches.
Check if the blades are balanced and securely fastened. Inspect the deck belt for wear or damage, and ensure all deck components are tightly secured. Replace damaged parts as necessary.
Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI listed in the owner's manual. Inspect tires for wear and damage, and replace them if necessary to maintain optimal traction and performance.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove debris. If it's too dirty, wash it with soapy water, rinse, and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace the air filter if it shows signs of damage.
Regular maintenance includes changing the oil and filter, cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug, inspecting belts and blades, lubricating moving parts, and checking tire pressure and battery condition.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and remove any debris from the deck. Add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and run the engine for a few minutes. Store the tractor in a dry, covered area, and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
