To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Shut off the engine and remove the key. Place a container under the oil drain valve. Open the valve and let the oil drain completely. Replace the oil filter and close the drain valve. Fill with new oil as per the manufacturer's specifications.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10%.
Check if the battery is charged and properly connected. Ensure the fuel tank is not empty and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for any signs of damage or wear. Finally, check for any blown fuses in the electrical system.
Blades should be sharpened at least once per mowing season or more frequently if you notice the grass is not cutting cleanly. Always ensure the blades are balanced after sharpening.
The recommended tire pressure is typically around 10-14 PSI for the front tires and 6-10 PSI for the rear tires. Check the owner's manual for exact specifications.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage. Disconnect the battery if storing the tractor for a long period to prevent discharge.
Check the transmission fluid level and add fluid if necessary. Inspect for any leaks in the transmission system. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician as there may be internal transmission issues.
Locate the air filter housing, remove the cover, and take out the old air filter. Insert a new air filter and reattach the cover. Ensure the filter is properly seated to prevent dirt from entering the engine.
Check if the mower deck is level and adjust if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Ensure the tires are correctly inflated and that the deck is free of debris.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and lubricate all moving parts. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry, covered area. Remove the battery and store it in a cool place to prevent discharge.
