Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Insert the key and turn it to the start position until the engine starts.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level and changing it every 50 hours, inspecting the air filter, cleaning the mower deck, and lubricating all pivot points.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and make sure all safety switches are engaged properly.
