To start the tractor, ensure it is in neutral, the parking brake is engaged, and the throttle is set to half speed. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine begins to run.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Ensure the oil meets API classification SJ or higher.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, verify the spark plug is not damaged, and make sure the safety switches are functioning correctly.
The recommended tire pressure is 12 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure before use.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each season, whichever comes first. Regular oil changes help maintain engine performance.
First, ensure the engine is off and remove the ignition key. Lift the mower deck, unscrew the blade bolts, and replace the old blades with new ones. Make sure the blades are securely tightened.
Stop the tractor immediately and allow the engine to cool. Check the cooling fins for debris, ensure the oil level is correct, and verify that the air intake is unobstructed.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free from corrosion. Check the electrolyte level regularly and top up with distilled water if necessary. Store the battery in a cool, dry place during the off-season.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, disconnect the battery, and store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location.
Use the height adjustment lever located on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height, ranging from 1.5 to 4 inches.
