To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO is disengaged. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position and release it when the engine starts.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has fuel, and verify that the spark plug is clean and functioning. Also, ensure the safety switches are properly engaged.
To change the oil, locate the oil drain plug and remove it to drain the old oil. Replace the drain plug, remove the oil filter, and replace it with a new one. Finally, fill the engine with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil before each use, replacing the oil and oil filter every 50 hours, inspecting the air filter every 25 hours, and servicing the mower deck annually.
Ensure the mower deck is level and the blades are sharp. Check tire pressure for consistency and inspect the deck for any obstructions or damage.
Stop the tractor immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect for leaks or blockages in the radiator. Ensure the fan belt is in good condition and functioning.
First, disconnect the battery. Remove the mower deck and locate the drive belt. Release the tensioner and remove the old belt. Install the new belt, ensuring it is properly aligned, and re-tension the belt.
While the tractor can operate in damp conditions, it is not recommended to use it in heavy rain or on excessively wet ground to prevent slipping and potential damage to the mower deck.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the tractor in a dry, covered area and disconnect the battery to avoid discharge.
Regular maintenance such as keeping the air filter clean, using the correct fuel, ensuring the tires are properly inflated, and maintaining sharp blades can help improve fuel efficiency.
