Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface. Engage the parking brake, set the throttle to half-speed, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the battery connections are clean and secure. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
Change the oil every 50 operating hours or at the start of each season, whichever comes first. Always use the oil type recommended in the owner’s manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10%.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch to ensure it is engaged. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, and make sure the deck is properly connected to the tractor.
Regularly clean the battery terminals and ensure they are tightly connected. Check the electrolyte levels and top up with distilled water if necessary. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
The recommended tire pressure is typically listed on the tire's sidewall or in the owner’s manual. Maintain the pressure within the specified range for optimal performance and safety.
Remove the blades following the instructions in the manual. Use a file or a sharpening tool to restore the sharp edge, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling it.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. If it is a paper filter, replace it if dirty. For foam filters, wash with mild detergent and water, dry thoroughly, and apply a few drops of oil before reinstalling.
Clean the tractor thoroughly. Change the oil and fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a dry place. Protect the tractor with a cover and store it in a sheltered area.
