To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the start position. Release the key once the engine starts.
It is recommended to use SAE 30 motor oil for temperatures above 40°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 40°F. Always check the manual for the most accurate recommendations.
First, check the battery connections and charge. Ensure the fuel level is adequate and the fuel valve is open. Examine the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Finally, check the fuse and replace if blown.
Turn off the engine immediately to prevent damage. Check the coolant level and replenish if necessary. Inspect the radiator for blockages and clean as needed. Ensure the fan belt is intact and functioning.
Oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season. Regular oil changes help maintain engine performance and longevity.
For optimal performance, maintain the front tires at 14 PSI and the rear tires at 10 PSI. Tire pressure can vary slightly based on load and terrain.
Regularly clean the mower deck to prevent grass build-up. Sharpen the blades every 25 hours of use. Check the belt tension and replace belts if worn. Lubricate the spindles and pulleys periodically.
Inspect the blades for dullness or damage and sharpen or replace them if necessary. Check the deck level and adjust if uneven. Ensure the engine is running at full speed and the grass is not too wet or long.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
First, remove the air filter cover by unscrewing the retaining screws. Take out the old air filter and clean the housing. Insert a new air filter and secure the cover back in place. Ensure it is properly seated to prevent dirt ingress.
