To activate the PowerBoost function, select the cooking zone, press the PowerBoost button, and then choose the desired power level. This function temporarily increases the power output for faster heating.
Ensure that the hob is properly connected to the power supply and that there is no tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. Also, check if the child lock is activated, which might prevent the hob from turning on.
Use a soft cloth and warm soapy water to clean the surface. For stubborn stains, use a hob scraper or a cleaning product specifically designed for ceramic surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
A buzzing noise can occur when using the PowerBoost function or when the hob is operating at a high power level. This is normal and due to the induction process. If the noise is excessive, ensure that the cookware is suitable for induction cooking.
To reset the hob, turn off the power at the circuit breaker for a few minutes and then turn it back on. This can help resolve minor software issues.
Compatible cookware for the induction hob includes pots and pans with a ferrous (magnetic) base. Stainless steel and cast iron are typically suitable, while glass, copper, and aluminum are not unless they have a magnetic base.
To prevent scratches, avoid sliding cookware across the hob surface. Use cookware with smooth and clean bottoms. Regularly clean the hob to remove any particles that could cause scratches.
Error code E typically indicates an electronic fault. Try resetting the hob by turning off the power for a few minutes. If the error persists, contact Siemens customer service for assistance.
To lock the controls, activate the child lock feature by pressing and holding the key symbol button until the display shows a lock symbol. This prevents any changes to the settings until unlocked.
The FlexInduction feature allows you to adjust the size of the cooking zone. Place the cookware on the desired area and select the cooking zone. The hob will automatically detect and adjust to the size of the cookware.
