The Sealey TA202 Analyser is used for testing and diagnosing automotive electrical systems, including battery, alternator, and starter motor performance.
Ensure the analyser is turned off, then connect the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal of the battery.
Check the battery connections and ensure the analyser's internal battery is charged. If the issue persists, inspect the power switch and internal components for any faults.
Start the vehicle and connect the analyser. Select the alternator test mode. The analyser will measure the output voltage and display if it is within the acceptable range.
Regularly clean the analyser's exterior with a dry cloth and ensure the clamps and cables are free from corrosion or damage. Store it in a dry place when not in use.
Refer to the user manual for detailed explanations of the readings. Generally, it provides voltage, current, and resistance values, indicating the health of the electrical system.
Ensure all connections are secure and check for any signs of damage to the cables or clamps. Calibrate the analyser if necessary, following the instructions in the manual.
The analyser is compatible with most 12V automotive electrical systems, including cars, motorcycles, and small trucks. Always check the vehicle's specifications before use.
Store the analyser in its protective case in a cool, dry location. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent damage.
Signs include erratic readings, failure to power on, or discrepancies compared to other testing tools. Periodic calibration as per the manual can ensure accuracy.
