Before using the Sealey SM23 Cleaner for the first time, ensure that all packaging materials are removed. Assemble any parts according to the user manual, fill the water tank with clean water, and connect the cleaner to a power source. Perform a test run to check all functionalities.
If the cleaner does not start, check the power connection and ensure the power switch is turned on. Inspect the fuse and replace it if necessary. Also, verify the water tank is properly seated and the safety mechanisms are not engaged.
Regularly clean the water tank and filters to prevent blockages. Inspect hoses and connections for wear and replace as needed. Lubricate moving parts according to the manual, and store the cleaner in a dry, safe place when not in use.
Descale the cleaner by running a solution of water and a descaling agent through the system. This should be done every 3 to 6 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. Follow the descaling instructions in the manual closely to avoid damage.
Check for blockages in the hose or filters and clear them if present. Ensure that the water tank is not overfilled. Inspect seals and gaskets for damage and replace them if necessary to restore suction.
Refer to the user manual to determine which cleaning solutions are safe to use. Typically, only approved cleaning agents should be used to avoid damaging the cleaner. Never use corrosive or flammable liquids.
To replace the filters, turn off and unplug the cleaner. Open the filter compartment, remove the old filters, and insert new ones as per the manual’s instructions. Ensure they are properly seated before closing the compartment.
Inspect the water tank for cracks and ensure it is properly seated. Check all hoses and connections for leaks and tighten or replace as necessary. Also, examine the internal seals and gaskets for wear.
After use, empty the water tank and clean all accessible components. Allow the cleaner to dry completely, then store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the power cord is neatly coiled.
Refer to the user manual for a detailed list of error codes. Common codes may indicate issues such as low water levels, blocked filters, or motor problems. Follow troubleshooting steps provided in the manual to resolve these errors.
