To measure AC voltage, turn the rotary switch to the V~ position. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal. Place the test leads across the component or circuit under test. The display will show the AC voltage reading.
Set the rotary switch to the continuity test position, which is usually indicated by a diode symbol or a sound wave icon. Connect the test leads to the component or circuit. If continuity is present, the multimeter will emit a beep sound.
First, check if the battery is properly installed and not depleted. Replace the battery if necessary. Ensure that the rotary switch is in the correct position. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Turn the rotary switch to the Ω position. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal. Place the test leads across the resistor or circuit to measure resistance. The reading will be displayed in ohms.
Turn off the multimeter and disconnect any test leads. Remove the battery cover on the back of the device using a screwdriver. Replace the old battery with a new one, ensuring correct polarity. Reattach the battery cover securely.
Set the rotary switch to the diode test position, indicated by the diode symbol. Connect the red test lead to the anode and the black test lead to the cathode of the diode. The multimeter will display the forward voltage drop in millivolts.
Always start with the highest range to prevent damage. Do not exceed the maximum input limits specified for each function. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety guidelines when working with high voltages.
Turn the rotary switch to the appropriate DC current (A) position. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the A terminal. Break the circuit and connect the test leads in series with the circuit to measure current.
Ensure that the test leads are properly connected and not damaged. Check the battery condition as a weak battery can affect readings. Calibrate the multimeter if necessary. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or technical support.
Keep the multimeter clean and dry. Store it in a protective case when not in use. Regularly check and replace the battery to prevent leakage. Perform periodic calibration to ensure accuracy.
