Ensure that the jack is placed on a stable and level surface. Align the toe of the jack under the load's lifting point and ensure it is securely positioned before operating the pump handle to lift.
The Sealey ITJ10 Toe Jack has a maximum lifting capacity of 10 tonnes. Always ensure that the load does not exceed this limit.
Check for air in the hydraulic system. Bleed the system by opening the release valve and pumping the handle several times. Ensure there are no leaks and the hydraulic oil level is sufficient.
Regularly check the hydraulic oil level and inspect for any signs of leaks or damage. Clean the jack after use and store it in a dry environment to prevent rust and corrosion.
It is not recommended to use the toe jack on uneven surfaces as it may lead to instability and potential accidents. Always use it on a flat, stable surface.
To lower the load, slowly open the release valve by turning it counterclockwise. Ensure that the area around the load is clear, and lower it gradually to maintain control.
Check for any blockages or damage to the handle mechanism. Lubricate the pivot points to ensure smooth operation. If the issue persists, consult a professional for repair.
Bleeding is necessary if you notice a loss of lifting efficiency. Regular maintenance should include checking for air in the hydraulic system and bleeding if necessary.
Use high-quality hydraulic oil recommended by the manufacturer. Refer to the user manual for specific oil types and viscosity ratings.
Store the toe jack in a dry, clean area. Ensure it is retracted fully, and cover it to protect from dust and moisture. Regularly inspect for any signs of rust or wear.
