Ensure the detector is placed on a stable surface. Connect it to a power source using the provided power adapter. Switch on the unit and allow it to calibrate for a few minutes before use.
Check the power cable and ensure it is securely connected. Verify that the power outlet is functional by testing it with another device. If the problem persists, inspect the fuse in the plug.
To perform a sensitivity test, expose the detector to a known gas source and observe the response. Adjust the sensitivity settings if necessary, following the user manual instructions.
Regularly clean the exterior with a damp cloth and ensure the vents are free from obstructions. Periodically test the detector's functionality and replace any worn components as recommended in the user manual.
Locate the reset button, usually at the back or underside of the unit. Press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the device restarts, indicating it has been reset to factory settings.
Ensure the detector is not placed near sources of interference such as strong electromagnetic fields. Recalibrate the detector and adjust the sensitivity settings according to the manual.
Turn off the device and disconnect it from the power source. Open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new one of the same type and rating. Close the compartment securely.
