To set up the Sealey AS3 Axle Stand, first ensure that the vehicle is on a level surface. Position the stand under the vehicle's jacking points and adjust the height using the locking pin. Ensure the pin is securely in place before releasing the weight onto the stand.
The Sealey AS3 Axle Stand has a maximum weight capacity of 3 tons (3000 kg). Always ensure the vehicle does not exceed this limit.
Regular maintenance includes checking for any signs of wear or damage, ensuring the locking pin is not bent or broken, and lubricating moving parts if necessary. Store in a dry place to prevent rust.
If the locking pin is difficult to insert or remove, inspect it for any damage or deformation. Clean any debris from the pin and the hole. If the problem persists, consider replacing the pin.
It is strongly advised not to use the Sealey AS3 Axle Stand on uneven surfaces as it may compromise stability. Always use on a flat, stable surface for safety.
To adjust the height, lift the stand to the desired height and align the holes for the locking pin. Insert the pin to secure the stand at the chosen height. Ensure the pin is fully engaged.
Ensure the stand is positioned correctly under the vehicle's jacking points, do not exceed the weight capacity, and never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always use axle stands.
Inspect for any visible cracks, bends, or deformations in the stand or pin. If any damage is found, do not use the stand and replace it immediately.
While it is possible to use the stand in wet conditions, it is not recommended due to the risk of slippage. Ensure the base is stable and free from water pooling.
If the vehicle feels unstable, double-check that the stand is correctly positioned and that the locking pin is secure. Re-evaluate the surface stability and reposition if necessary.
