Ensure the riveter is clean and all parts are securely fastened. Connect it to the appropriate air supply as indicated in the manual, usually between 90-120 PSI. Test the riveter on a scrap piece to ensure it functions correctly.
Check the air pressure to ensure it is within the recommended range. Inspect the jaws for wear or damage and clean any debris from the tool.
Regularly clean the tool and lubricate moving parts with light oil. Inspect and replace worn parts as needed, and store in a dry place to prevent rust.
The riveter is designed to be compatible with a variety of rivet sizes, typically ranging from 2.4mm to 4.8mm. Always refer to the user manual for specific size compatibility.
Unscrew the existing nosepiece using the supplied tool. Select the appropriate size for your rivet and screw the new nosepiece securely into place.
Jamming can occur if the rivet size is incorrect or if debris is present in the jaws. Ensure the correct size rivet is used and clean the jaws regularly.
Check all air hose connections and fittings for tightness. Inspect seals for damage and replace if necessary. Use a soapy water solution to detect leaks.
Store the riveter in a clean, dry place away from moisture. Release any remaining air pressure before storage to prevent wear on internal components.
Perform regular inspections for wear and tear, clean after each use, and lubricate moving parts monthly. Replace any damaged components immediately.
Always wear safety glasses and gloves. Ensure the workpiece is secure and stable. Never point the riveter towards yourself or others, and follow all safety instructions in the manual.
