Begin by cleaning the surface area of the dent. Attach the appropriate pulling tab to the glue gun and apply hot glue onto the tab. Firmly press the tab onto the center of the dent and allow the glue to set before using the puller to remove the dent.
Ensure that the surface is clean and free from any wax or grease. Use an alcohol-based cleaner for best results. Also, check that the glue is sufficiently heated and that a suitable amount is applied to the tab.
The dent puller is designed for metal surfaces and may not be suitable for plastic or fiberglass. Always test an inconspicuous area first if unsure.
Use an adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol to gently remove any leftover glue. Avoid scraping, as this may damage the paintwork.
Regularly clean the tool after use, ensuring no glue residue is left on the components. Store in a dry place and inspect for any wear or damage before each use.
Cold temperatures can affect the glue's adhesion. It is recommended to use the tool in a controlled environment or allow the surface to warm up slightly for better results.
Check and tighten any loose screws or fittings on the handle. If the problem persists, refer to the user manual for further maintenance instructions or contact Sealey support.
Ensure the glue and tab are properly applied, and do not use excessive force when pulling. Following the instructions carefully will minimize the risk of paint damage.
The dent puller is suitable for minor to medium-sized dents on flat or slightly curved surfaces. Deep or complex dents may require professional repair.
Replace the glue sticks as needed, typically when they become difficult to feed through the glue gun or lose adhesion effectiveness. Always use compatible glue sticks recommended by Sealey.
