To properly position the 800TTJ Transmission Jack, ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and stabilized. Align the jack centrally under the transmission, adjusting the saddle to fit securely against the transmission's pan or support points. Use the tilt and height adjustments for precise placement.
Always use jack stands to support the vehicle after it's lifted. Confirm that the transmission is balanced on the jack saddle and secured with the provided safety chains. Wear appropriate safety gear and keep the work area clear of bystanders.
Check the hydraulic fluid level and ensure there are no leaks. Inspect for air trapped in the hydraulic system; if present, bleed the system. Verify that the release valve is fully closed before attempting to lift.
Regularly inspect the jack for any signs of wear or damage. Lubricate moving parts and joints periodically. Check hydraulic fluid levels and replace the fluid annually to maintain optimal performance. Store the jack in a dry, clean environment to prevent rust.
Use the tilt handle or knobs located on the side of the jack to adjust the angle of the saddle. This allows for finer positioning of the transmission during removal or installation. Ensure adjustments are gradual to maintain stability.
Check the release valve to ensure it is not overly loose or damaged. Gradually open the valve to control the lowering speed. If the issue persists, inspect the hydraulic system for potential leaks or air pockets.
The 800TTJ is specifically designed for transmission lifting. While it may technically support other tasks, it is not recommended due to safety concerns and the risk of improper load distribution. Always use tools designed for specific tasks.
To bleed air, fully open the release valve and pump the handle several times without any load on the jack. Close the valve and test by lifting a small load. Repeat if the jack continues to operate below capacity.
The Sealey 800TTJ Transmission Jack is designed to support up to 800kg. Ensure the weight of the transmission does not exceed this limit to maintain safety and prevent damage to the jack.
It is recommended to replace the hydraulic fluid every 12 months or after extensive use. Always use the manufacturer-recommended fluid type and check for any contaminants during replacement.
