Ensure you use a LiPo-compatible charger. Connect the battery to the charger, set the correct voltage (typically 7.4V or 11.1V), and charge at a rate of 1C for optimal battery life.
Check the steering servo connection and ensure it's properly plugged into the receiver. Examine the servo horn for any damage and ensure the transmitter batteries are fully charged.
Regularly check for leaks and ensure all connections are tight. Use only compatible hydraulic fluid and periodically bleed the system to remove air bubbles.
Allow the motor to cool down before use. Check for any binding in the drivetrain, ensure proper gear mesh, and verify that the motor is not overloaded. Consider using a motor heat sink or fan.
Use a higher capacity battery, reduce weight where possible, and ensure the drivetrain is efficient by regularly cleaning and lubricating moving parts.
Use a soft brush to remove dirt and debris. Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary, and never submerge electronic components in water. Dry thoroughly before storage.
Adjust the preload on the shock absorbers to change ride height and stiffness. For a softer ride, reduce preload; for a firmer ride, increase it. Ensure even adjustments on both sides for balanced handling.
Ensure the ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) is properly calibrated and connected. Check the battery charge level and inspect the motor connections for any loose wires.
After cleaning, dry the truck thoroughly and apply a light coat of silicone spray or WD-40 to metal parts to prevent rust. Store in a dry environment.
Clean the truck thoroughly, disconnect the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid compressing the suspension by storing on a stand to relieve pressure on the springs.
