To assemble the trimmer, attach the trimmer head to the power unit by aligning the arrows on the shafts and tightening the coupling. Ensure the battery is removed during assembly for safety.
First, ensure the trimmer is off and remove the battery. Check if the spool is properly installed and not tangled. Clean any debris and rethread the line if necessary.
To maximize battery life, fully charge the battery before use, avoid extreme temperatures, and store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Regularly clean the trimmer head and shaft to remove debris. Check and replace the trimmer line as needed. Inspect the battery contacts for corrosion and clean them periodically.
Remove the spool cap and take out any remaining line. Insert new line into the eyelets, wind it in the direction indicated on the spool, and replace the cap securely.
Check if the battery is fully charged. If it stops intermittently, inspect for obstructions or debris in the trimmer head and clear them.
The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Trimmer is not waterproof. Avoid using it in wet conditions to prevent damage to the motor and battery.
The recommended trimmer line size is 0.080 inches or 0.095 inches for optimal performance and efficiency.
Clean the trimmer thoroughly, remove the battery, and store it in a dry, cool place. Keep the battery separately in a similar environment.
Turn off the trimmer and remove the battery. Allow it to cool down before inspecting for any obstructions or overloading issues. Resume use once the motor has cooled.
