To change the blade, first remove the battery to ensure safety. Use the blade wrench stored on the saw to loosen the arbor nut by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the old blade and replace it with a new one, ensuring the teeth face forward. Tighten the arbor nut securely.
The Milwaukee M18 2631-20 Saw is compatible with all M18 series batteries, including both standard and high-capacity versions. Opt for a higher capacity battery for extended usage time.
Regularly clean the saw to remove dust and debris, especially around the blade and motor vents. Check and replace the blade as needed, and ensure all bolts and screws are tightened. Lubricate moving parts periodically.
Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Check for any obstructions around the trigger and blade. If the saw still doesn’t start, inspect for any visible damage or contact Milwaukee support.
To adjust the bevel angle, loosen the bevel adjustment lever located at the front of the saw. Tilt the base to the desired angle using the bevel scale, then tighten the lever to secure the angle.
The maximum cutting depth at 90 degrees is 2-1/2 inches, and at 45 degrees, it is 1-7/8 inches. Always double-check measurements before cutting.
Ensure the blade is sharp and properly aligned. Check the base and guide for squareness. If cuts are still uneven, calibrate the saw’s settings or replace the blade.
While primarily designed for wood and similar materials, the saw can cut through metal with the appropriate metal-cutting blade. Ensure the blade is compatible and use safety gear.
The saw is equipped with an electronic brake to stop the blade quickly after the trigger is released, and an overload protection system to prevent damage to the tool. Always use protective gear.
Remove the battery and store it separately in a cool, dry place. Clean the saw of any debris and store it in a protective case or on a stable surface to avoid falls or damage.
