To start a self-cleaning cycle, remove all accessories and racks from the oven, close the door, and select the self-clean function from the menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the cycle.
Check that the range is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the gas supply is turned on and make sure the oven settings are correct. If the problem persists, contact Miele customer service.
Ensure the oven is clean and free of food residues. Avoid using too much oil or fat, and use recommended cookware. If smoking persists, check the ventilation and clean the filters.
The fan continues to run to help cool down the oven components and ensure safety. This is normal and it will stop automatically when the oven has sufficiently cooled.
To adjust the temperature calibration, access the settings menu on the oven display, select temperature calibration, and follow the instructions to make adjustments as needed.
Use a non-abrasive glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Apply the cleaner to the cloth rather than directly on the glass to avoid streaks. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent solution.
Ensure that the gas supply is turned on. Check that the burner caps are placed correctly. Clean any debris from the igniter and burner components. If the issue persists, contact a qualified technician.
It is not recommended to use aluminum foil on the oven floor as it can cause heat damage. However, foil can be used to cover food or line baking trays if properly secured.
Regularly clean the oven and cooktop surfaces, check and clean the ventilation filters, inspect and clean gas burners, and ensure all components are in good condition. Schedule professional maintenance annually.
To set a delayed cooking timer, select the desired cooking function and temperature. Then, set the start time and end time in the timer menu. Confirm your settings to activate the delayed start.
