To start the Karcher G 2800 OC, ensure the water supply is connected and turned on. Set the choke to the "Choke" position if the engine is cold. Turn the fuel valve to the "On" position and pull the recoil starter handle until the engine starts. Once it starts, move the choke to the "Run" position.
Check for any kinks in the hose and ensure the water supply is adequate. Inspect the inlet filter for blockages and clean it if necessary. Make sure the nozzle is not clogged and replace it if needed.
To winterize the pressure washer, first drain all water from the pump. Add antifreeze to the pump by using a pump saver. Disconnect and store the hoses and accessories in a dry place. Store the pressure washer in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil, inspecting the air filter, and cleaning the inlet filter regularly. Also, check the spark plug periodically and replace it if worn. It’s important to inspect all hoses and connections for leaks or wear.
To clean the nozzles, remove them from the spray wand and clear any obstructions using a nozzle cleaning tool or a thin piece of wire. Rinse with water to remove any remaining debris. Ensure the nozzles are completely dry before reattaching them.
Ensure that the fuel valve is in the "On" position and there is sufficient fuel. Check if the choke is set correctly for a cold start. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace it as necessary.
Check that the engine mounts are secure and not worn out. Inspect the pressure washer for any loose parts or attachments. Ensure the surface where the unit is placed is even and stable to reduce vibration.
Inspect all hoses and connections for leaks. Tighten any loose fittings and replace any damaged hoses. Check the pump for cracks or damage and consult a professional for repair if necessary.
To change the oil, first, warm up the engine for a few minutes and then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the oil to fully drain into a container. Replace the drain plug and fill with new oil as per the manufacturer's specifications.
Use only detergents specifically designed for pressure washers. Do not use bleach or any other chemicals that could damage the machine. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing and applying the detergent.
