To set up the Karcher CDT7, connect the high-pressure hose to the spray gun and the machine. Attach the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task, and ensure the water supply is connected and turned on. Finally, plug in the machine and switch it on.
Low pressure can be caused by a clogged nozzle, air in the line, or a kinked hose. Check and clean the nozzle, ensure all connections are tight, and straighten any kinks in the hose.
Regularly check the pump for any leaks and ensure it is lubricated according to the user manual. Use only clean water to avoid debris entering the pump.
Store the pressure washer in a dry, cool place. Drain all water from the hoses and pump to prevent freezing and damage. Coil the hoses and cords neatly to prevent kinks.
Change the oil after the first 50 hours of use, and then every 200 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use the recommended oil type specified in the manual.
Ensure the power supply is connected and the outlet is functioning. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. If these are in order, consult a professional technician for further diagnosis.
Use a water softener or descaler attachment if you have hard water. Regularly flush the system with water to remove any deposits and follow maintenance guidelines in the manual.
Only use cleaning agents that are recommended for high-pressure washers. Avoid using bleach or acidic solutions as they can damage the machine.
Check the connections between the hose and spray gun for tightness. Inspect the O-rings and seals for wear or damage and replace them if necessary.
Disconnect and drain all hoses and the pump. Run antifreeze through the system to prevent ice formation. Store the unit in a location where it will not be exposed to freezing temperatures.
