The Savage XL Flux uses a brushless motor, which does not require a break-in period. Simply ensure that the battery is fully charged and all connections are secure before your first run.
Regularly check the drivetrain for debris and wear. Clean the gears with a soft brush and re-lubricate them with a suitable grease. Inspect the driveshafts and replace any worn components.
Check the battery charge level, ensure all connections are secure, inspect the ESC and motor for overheating, and verify that the transmitter and receiver are properly linked.
Use a soft brush to remove dirt and debris. For more stubborn grime, use a damp cloth. Avoid using water on electrical components and always dry thoroughly before storing.
Adjust the shock absorber pre-load by turning the spring collars. For stiffer suspension, increase the pre-load by turning the collar clockwise. For softer suspension, turn it counterclockwise.
Check the servo connections and ensure the servo is receiving power. Inspect the steering linkage for obstructions or damage and ensure the transmitter settings are correct.
Use a higher capacity battery (mAh), ensure the drivetrain is well-maintained to reduce friction, and consider optimizing the gear ratio for efficiency.
Store in a cool, dry place. Disconnect the battery and ensure it is stored at a storage charge level. Clean the vehicle thoroughly before storing to prevent corrosion.
Remove the wheel nuts with a wrench, pull off the old tires, and fit the new tires onto the rims. Reattach the wheels and tighten the nuts securely.
Inspect the drivetrain for debris, check for loose or damaged parts, and ensure the motor and gears are properly aligned. Lubricate moving parts as needed.
