To perform a self-clean cycle on the GE PLS624RT range, press the 'Self Clean' button, select the desired cleaning time, and then press 'Start'. Ensure the oven is empty before starting the cycle.
If the oven does not heat up, check if the oven is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped. Also, ensure the oven settings are correctly configured. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact GE support.
Refer to the user manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. If the error persists, try resetting the range by unplugging it for a few minutes. If unresolved, contact GE customer service.
Regularly clean the oven and stovetop, check the burners for clogs, and inspect the door seal for wear. Perform a self-clean cycle periodically and ensure filters are clean and intact.
To replace the oven light bulb, ensure the oven is off and cool. Remove the glass cover by turning it counterclockwise, then replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover.
To calibrate the oven temperature, press 'Bake' and set the oven to 350°F. Press 'Bake' again for calibration mode, then adjust the temperature using the arrow keys. Confirm the changes by pressing 'Start'.
If a burner does not ignite, ensure it is clean and dry. Check if the igniter is clicking. If not, the igniter may need replacement or there might be a power issue.
To lock the oven controls, press and hold the 'Control Lock' button until the display shows 'Loc'. This will prevent unintended use of the oven controls.
For optimal performance, use flat-bottomed and heavy-gauge cookware that matches the size of the burners. Avoid using warped or lightweight pans.
To reset the clock, press the 'Clock' button, then use the number pad to enter the correct time. Press 'Start' to confirm the new time setting.
