To set the hardness level, press the "Program" button until you see "Hardness" on the display. Use the arrow keys to adjust the hardness level according to your water test results.
Ensure that the bypass valve is in the service position. Check the timer settings to confirm they are correct, and verify that the power supply is connected. Initiate a manual regeneration cycle to test functionality.
Check the salt level monthly. Add salt when the level is below the halfway point in the brine tank, ensuring there is always enough salt for proper regeneration.
Use high-purity salt pellets designed for water softeners. Avoid using rock salt as it may contain impurities that can clog the system.
Empty the brine tank of any remaining salt and water. Clean with a mixture of water and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly. Refill with fresh salt and water.
An "Err" message indicates a malfunction. Check for power interruptions or incorrect settings. If issues persist, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Press and hold the "Regen" button until the display shows "Regeneration Started." This will initiate a manual regeneration cycle.
Check the hardness setting and reduce it if necessary. Ensure the system is not regenerating too frequently by reviewing the regeneration schedule.
After power is restored, the softener should retain settings. If not, re-enter the current time and check if other settings need adjustment.
Regularly check the salt level, clean the brine tank annually, and inspect for any leaks or blockages in the system.
