To level your caravan, use a spirit level on a flat surface inside the caravan. Adjust the corner steadies accordingly and use leveling ramps under the wheels if necessary.
First, check the fuse for the water pump. Ensure that the pump is switched on and that the water tank is not empty. If problems persist, inspect the pump for blockages or airlocks.
Ensure proper ventilation by slightly opening roof vents and windows. Use moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers and check seals for leaks before storing.
Refer to the manufacturer's handbook for the specific tire pressure recommendations. Generally, it should be around 50 psi, but confirm with the manual.
Drain all water systems, including the boiler and toilet. Use antifreeze in the pipes, remove food and perishable items, and disconnect the battery. Cover the caravan if possible.
Check for blockages in the air vents and ensure the thermostat is set correctly. Inspect the boiler and radiators for airlocks or require bleeding.
It is recommended to service your caravan annually or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Regular maintenance ensures safety and longevity.
Regularly check the battery's charge level and recharge as needed. Clean terminals to prevent corrosion and ensure the battery is securely fastened.
Check the main fuse box and individual appliance fuses. Inspect wiring for visible damage and ensure connections are tight. Consult a professional if issues persist.
Ensure the tow hitch is securely connected, check tire pressures, distribute weight evenly, and ensure all lights are functioning. Perform a safety check before departure.
