Ensure the machine is turned off. Follow the threading guide printed on the machine. Insert the thread through the spool pin, guide it through the thread guides, tension discs, and finally through the needle eye from front to back.
Check if the bobbin is correctly placed and threaded. Inspect the sensor for any obstructions or lint build-up and clean it if necessary. Ensure that the bobbin thread is properly wound.
Use the tension dial located on the machine's front panel. Increase tension by turning it clockwise and decrease by turning it counter-clockwise. Test on a scrap fabric to achieve the desired stitch appearance.
Turn off and unplug the machine. Use a soft brush to remove lint and dust from the feed dogs, tension discs, and bobbin area. Oil the machine according to the manual. Regularly check for loose screws or worn parts.
The recommended needle size depends on the fabric being used. For medium-weight fabrics, a size 80/12 needle is generally suitable. Always refer to the manual for specific fabric recommendations.
Check if the needle is bent or dull and replace it if necessary. Ensure that the needle is correctly installed and threaded. Verify that the thread tension is properly set and adjust as needed.
Inspect the thread path for any obstructions. Re-thread the machine, ensuring the thread is correctly placed in the tension discs. Adjust the tension settings and test on a sample fabric.
Stop using the machine immediately. Check for any loose screws or parts. Inspect for tangled threads or debris in the bobbin area. If needed, consult the manual or a professional technician.
Turn off the machine. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, and insert a new needle with the flat side facing the back. Tighten the clamp screw securely.
Check if the feed dogs are engaged and clean. Ensure the presser foot is properly lowered. Verify that the stitch length is set correctly for the fabric type.
