First, ensure the machine is turned off. Raise the presser foot and place the spool of thread on the spool pin. Follow the threading diagram on the machine, ensuring the thread passes through the tension discs, take-up lever, and needle, in the correct order.
Check that the needle is the correct size and type for the fabric. Ensure it is inserted correctly with the flat side facing the back. Also, verify the needle is not bent or blunt, and adjust the needle tension if necessary.
Ensure the needle is properly installed and not damaged. Check the threading path for any mistakes and ensure the bobbin is correctly wound and inserted. Adjust the tension settings if needed.
Test on a fabric scrap to adjust the tension settings. For heavier fabrics, increase the tension and for lighter fabrics, decrease it. Make small adjustments and test until the stitch quality is optimal.
Regularly clean the machine, especially the bobbin area, to remove lint and dust. Oil the machine as per the manufacturer’s instructions, focusing on moving parts. Perform a check-up every 6 months or as needed.
Check the tension settings and ensure the machine is threaded correctly. Verify that the presser foot pressure is adequate for the fabric thickness. Inspect the needle for bends or damage and replace if necessary.
Turn off the machine and inspect for any loose screws or parts. Clean the machine to remove any debris. Check the needle and bobbin for proper installation. If the noise persists, consult a professional technician.
Locate the presser foot pressure dial or screw, usually found above the presser foot. Turn it clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to decrease it, based on fabric thickness and stitch requirements.
Check the power cord and ensure it is securely connected. Verify that the power outlet is functioning. Inspect the machine's fuse and replace it if blown. If the issue persists, contact a qualified technician.
Regularly clean and oil the machine to ensure smooth operation. Use the correct needle and thread type for your fabric. Adjust tension settings carefully, and always test on a scrap piece of fabric before starting your project.
