For optimal performance, the recommended tire pressure for the Ducati Panigale R 2015 is 2.5 bar (36 psi) for the front tire and 2.9 bar (42 psi) for the rear tire.
It is recommended to change the oil every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or at least once a year, whichever comes first, to ensure the engine runs smoothly.
The Ducati Panigale R 2015 requires fully synthetic oil with a viscosity rating of 15W-50, meeting or exceeding JASO MA2 and API SG specifications.
To adjust the suspension, start by setting the preload, compression, and rebound damping to the factory settings as a baseline. Fine-tune each setting based on your weight and riding style, keeping track of changes for optimal handling.
The chain tension should be checked with the bike on a rear stand. The correct slack is 30-32 mm, measured at the midpoint of the chain between the sprockets.
First, check the battery for sufficient charge. Ensure all electrical connections are tight and free of corrosion. Examine the fuel system for blockages or old fuel, and inspect the starter motor and relay for faults.
Regular maintenance tasks include oil and filter changes, checking brake pads and fluid, inspecting and lubricating the chain, checking tire pressure and tread, and inspecting the coolant level and condition.
To reset the service light, turn the ignition to the "on" position, navigate to the service menu on the display, and follow the prompts to reset the service interval. Consult your owner’s manual for specific instructions tailored to your model.
The correct torque setting for the front wheel nuts is 63 Nm, and for the rear wheel nut, it is 230 Nm. Always use a calibrated torque wrench to ensure accuracy.
To store your bike for the winter, clean and dry it thoroughly, fill the fuel tank and add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil and filter, disconnect the battery, inflate the tires to the correct pressure, and cover the bike with a breathable motorcycle cover.
