To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, then turn it off. Place a drain pan under the oil pan, remove the drain plug, and allow the oil to fully drain. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tire is 36 psi and for the rear tire is 42 psi. Always check and adjust tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify the battery is charged. Inspect the fuses and replace any that are blown. Check for fuel supply issues or faulty ignition components.
Regular maintenance includes oil and filter changes, checking tire pressure, inspecting brake pads and fluid levels, cleaning and lubricating the chain, and checking the coolant level.
Refer to the owner's manual for specific suspension settings. Use the electronic suspension adjustment feature to set the preload, compression, and rebound damping based on your riding style and load.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant with corrosion inhibitors, specifically formulated for motorcycle engines. Ensure it is mixed with distilled water at a 50/50 ratio.
To reset the service light, access the bike's onboard menu system using the controls on the handlebar. Navigate to the service menu and follow the prompts to reset the service indicator.
Ensure the coolant level is adequate and the radiator is clean. Check the thermostat and cooling fan operation. Inspect for any coolant leaks. A faulty water pump could also cause overheating.
Maintain proper tire pressure, ensure regular engine maintenance, use high-quality fuel, and adopt a smooth riding style. Avoid excessive idling and aggressive acceleration.
Check the ABS sensor connections and clean them if necessary. Ensure the wheel speed sensors are not damaged. If the issue persists, consult a Ducati technician for a diagnostic check.
