The recommended tire pressure for the Ducati Monster 696 is 2.1 bar (30.5 psi) for the front tire and 2.2 bar (32 psi) for the rear tire.
It is recommended to change the oil every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or at least once a year, whichever comes first.
Use a high-quality synthetic oil with a viscosity of 15W-50 that meets or exceeds the API SJ and JASO MA specifications.
Check the battery charge, ensure the kill switch is in the "run" position, and verify that the side stand is up. If the issue persists, inspect the spark plugs and fuel supply.
Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain tension bolts evenly on both sides, and ensure the chain slack is around 25-30 mm. Tighten the axle nut to the specified torque.
Regularly check the brake fluid levels, inspect brake pads for wear, and ensure the brake lines are free from leaks or damage. Replace pads and fluid as necessary.
Common issues include battery failure, faulty regulator/rectifier, and loose connections. Regularly check and clean connections, and replace the battery or regulator/rectifier if needed.
Clean the bike thoroughly, fill the fuel tank and add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, disconnect the battery, and store the bike in a dry, covered area. Consider using a trickle charger for the battery.
Inspect the tires, brakes, chain, fluid levels, lights, and controls. Look for any leaks, damage, or unusual wear and address them promptly.
Performance can be improved by upgrading the exhaust system, installing a high-performance air filter, and having the ECU remapped for optimal tuning.
