To clean the kettle, first unplug it and allow it to cool completely. Remove any remaining water, then wipe the interior with a soft cloth. For descaling, fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.
Ensure that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Check the power switch and make sure it is in the "on" position. If the kettle still does not turn on, check the fuse or circuit breaker and reset if necessary.
It is not recommended to leave water in the kettle overnight as it can lead to mineral buildup and affect the kettle's performance. Always empty the kettle after use and allow it to dry.
Regular descaling is key to preventing scale buildup. Use filtered water if possible, and descale the kettle monthly using a vinegar solution or a commercial descaling product.
The ideal water level is between the minimum and maximum marks indicated inside the kettle. Do not overfill or underfill to ensure efficient boiling and prevent damage.
A loud noise during boiling is typically due to scale buildup on the heating element. Regular descaling can reduce this noise. If the problem persists, check for proper placement on the base and ensure even surface contact.
The Dash DEK001 Rapid Kettle is designed for boiling water only. Using it to heat other liquids can damage the kettle and void the warranty.
Check for any obstructions or debris around the lid. Clean the lid and the kettle's rim with a damp cloth. If the problem continues, contact customer support for further assistance.
Ensure the kettle is unplugged and cooled down. Wind the power cord around the base or use the built-in cord storage feature if available. Store the kettle in a dry place away from water sources.
This could be a result of the kettle's safety feature activating due to overheating or insufficient water. Ensure the kettle is filled to the appropriate level and try again. If the problem persists, it may require servicing.
