To set up your dehumidifier, place it in a location with good air circulation, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure it is on a level surface and connect the power cord to a grounded outlet. Set the desired humidity level using the control panel.
Check if the humidity level is set too high, as the unit will not collect water if the ambient humidity is lower than the set level. Ensure the room temperature is above 41°F (5°C) as the unit may not function effectively in lower temperatures.
The filter should be cleaned every two weeks to maintain optimal performance. Remove the filter from the unit, wash it with warm water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
Clean and dry the dehumidifier thoroughly, including the water tank and filter. Coil the power cord and store the unit in a cool, dry place to prevent mold and mildew. Cover it with a cloth or plastic sheet to protect it from dust.
Ensure the unit is on a level surface and not touching any walls or furniture. Check for any loose parts or objects inside the unit. If noises persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
Attach a garden hose to the continuous drainage outlet at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is directed toward a suitable drainage location and that it is free of kinks. The unit will automatically drain when the water tank is full.
Turn off the dehumidifier and allow it to thaw completely. Ensure the ambient temperature is above 41°F (5°C) for proper operation. Check for any blockages in the air filter that may restrict airflow.
The dehumidifier will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate on the control panel when the water tank is full. Empty the tank and replace it to resume operation.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with your dehumidifier. If necessary, use a heavy-duty extension cord with a sufficient power rating and ensure it is grounded properly to prevent electrical hazards.
Close windows and doors to prevent humid air from entering the room. Ensure the filter is clean and the unit is placed in a central location with unobstructed airflow. Regularly empty the water tank or set up continuous drainage.
