To level your caravan, first park on a flat surface. Use a spirit level on the floor inside the caravan to check for level. Adjust the corner steadies using a winding handle until the caravan is stable and level.
Regularly clean and flush the water system to prevent build-up and bacteria. Use a suitable cleaner and follow the manufacturer's instructions for flushing the system.
Check the power supply and ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped. Verify that the gas supply is connected if applicable, and consult the user manual for reset instructions if needed.
Inspect the battery connections for any corrosion and ensure they are secure. Check the battery charger fuse and replace if necessary. Consider having the battery tested for capacity.
Regularly inspect seals and joints for any leaks and reseal if necessary. Use moisture absorbers inside the caravan and ensure good ventilation to reduce condensation.
Drain all water systems, including the boiler and water tanks. Add antifreeze to protect pipes and seals. Disconnect and store the battery in a dry, cool place.
Ensure the caravan is loaded evenly with the heaviest items over the axle. Use a stabilizer or anti-sway device and maintain appropriate tire pressure for optimal towing stability.
Check the light bulb and replace if burnt out. Inspect the fuses related to the lighting circuit and replace any blown fuses. Verify the wiring connections for any loose or damaged wires.
Check the tire pressure before each journey. Regularly inspect for any signs of wear or damage and ensure the tires are inflated to the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
Use a mild detergent and water with a soft brush or sponge. Avoid high-pressure washers that can damage seals. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
